Insider tips
from your hosts
Tobogganing tip from Friedrich:
For families Friedrich has a little additional tip: his grandson Carl has long since discovered the place he finds most beautiful: “Carl loves the Schliniger Alm Alpine pasture. Let dad pull you up on the toboggan, eat dumplings at the top – and then toboggan back down together. That’s all it takes to make children happy.”
Georg’s insider tip:
Snowshoe hike from Planeil/Planol to Spitzige Lun
“The Spitzige Lun is our local mountain, but in winter it feels like a little adventure. The trail leads through snow-covered forest, quiet and soft, and at the top by the summit cross, the view opens up over the entire Vinschgau/Val Venosta. When the clouds break and the Ortler Alps emerge, it’s always a magical moment to take a break and breathe.”
