Around Mals/Malles – diversity instead of monotony
Ski resorts
in Vinschgau/Val Venosta
Mals/Malles lies at the heart of five completely different ski resorts: Watles – the family mountain with far-reaching views. Sulden am Ortler/Solda all’Ortles – the glacier ski resort on Mount Ortler. Belpiano-Malga San Valentino – the sunny high plateau, Nauders am Reschensee – the Tyrolean snow paradise and Trafoi – the small ski resort for families. Each area has its own character, its own atmosphere. And the best part? You don’t have to decide. From Mals/Malles you can reach all five ski resorts in a short time, with the journey taking between 15 and a maximum of 40 minutes. That means you can visit Watles today, Sulden/Solda tomorrow and Schöneben/Belpiano the day after. New slopes, new views, new experiences – all always guaranteed. Variety instead of monotony – this is what skiing holidays in Vinschgau/Val Venosta are like.

Insider tips
from your hosts
Julia’s favourite combination:
Sulden/Solda & Watles
Julia is a passionate skier. Your favourite ski resorts? Start in Sulden/Solda in the morning and enjoy the challenging Rosim run, which is perfectly groomed. The slopes on Langenstein are also a particular highlight.
If you only have time from midday onwards, then take the children to Watles to catch a few rays of sunshine and let them practise taking their first turns.”
Friedrich’s insider tip:
Schöneben/Belpiano in the afternoon
Friedrich Steiner recommends Schöneben/Belpiano for all those who love the sun: “The sun shines there for a particularly long time in the afternoon. While other ski resorts are already bathed in shadow, you’ll still be soaking up vitamin D on the Malga di San Valentino. And the huts there? Cosier than anywhere else. Perfect for a refreshment stop – you just can’t miss it.”
